Singles And The Single Life Experiment

There Are Twists And Turns In The Single Life Experiment

Part of the windy roads is to actually be single. Another part is to be in dating limbo before you get hitched up.

One thing that I’ve learned has saved me more than once in my life of singledom. I promise I’ll share it soon. But first, I want to talk about the dark times— When you’re feeling confused as hell, have lost love, or feel like you’ve completely lost your mind.

Losing Your Mind Is Part Of The Art Of Being Single Process

Life on the single side of things is a confusing place to be— Especially if you’re friends are all hitched up and you feel like the third piece of rye on a club sandwich. The single life experiment, nonetheless, is an important part of life.

Or you’re dating and you seem to be spinning your wheels and only meeting losers.

Maybe you’re going through depression, anxiety, or you’re feeling chubby.

You’ve started talking to someone you really like— And you don’t know if they like you back.

The new guy you’re dating seems serious, but you’re not totally sure.

These are all hard places to be for a single person. Yet there is a simple solution to integrate into your life when you’re unsure of yourself and you haven’t grasped the art of being single yet.

Mandy Hale in her book “The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash Of Sass” said, “Single is an opportunity to live life on your own terms and not apologize.” So stop apologizing and start living.

You can switch your thoughts of desperation, confusion or feelings of apathy or any other weirdo feelings by doing one simple thing.

This one trick will help you to allow life to flow through you instead of fretting and trying to control everything that you have no control over. The single life experiment can save you from bad relationships that you may otherwise fall into from pressure from family, friends, and society.

You can tell yourself a simple phrase. Make this your mantra:

I embrace the unknown— Because the unknown has wicked beautiful things in store for me.

It’s true. Even if you don’t believe it.

There Is No Time Like The Present To Embrace The Art Of Being Single

Because never is there a time of relationship unknowns that are more complicated than the single times. So the best thing you can do is to make the best of it.

Whether you want a relationship, don’t want a relationship or don’t know what the hell you want. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be. There is no wrong path only different paths.

Summary

Living the single life isn’t a perfect science. That is why it is called the single life experiment. Being single is more like the twinkles in Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night painting. Single life is full of twists and turns. It has it’s dark moments and can be confusing but is simply beautiful.

Lots of Love,
