Everyone’s Single: Here’s Why

Society says you must date and marry, but everyone is single: here’s why!

Everyone’s Single: Here’s Why

[bctt tweet=”Everyone is born single. Everyone dies single. It is up to you to decide what happens in the period between your life and death.” username=”@secure_single”]

Everyone is single because everyone is born single. Everyone dies single. It does not matter if you date or marry. You may have some relationships between birth and death. Everyone is, first and foremost, an individual.

You are two separate people. Even if you are dating or married. Each person must deal with unique wants, needs, and problems. That fact does not go away no matter what society may tell you.

It is up to you to make the most of your time on earth as an individual. You can choose to let life go by or be a person of action. It is up to every single person to decide how they want to live their life.

You will also die alone. If you are lucky, you may die with some loved ones beside you. You cannot take the things you have in this world, including any loved ones. From dust, you were made, and to dust, you shall return.

For these reasons, making the most of every day is critical.

Carpe Diem (Seize The Day)

Since you are born single and die single, you can begin to seize the day. You can live by starting to capture every moment of every day. The best way to start this is to practice self-discipline, learn time management skills, and work to achieve your life goals.

It is up to you to take control of your life and realize your goals. No one else will do it for you. You must practice self-discipline, accept self-responsibility, and learn time management skills to get what you want.

Self-Discipline

You can start by taking action rather than watching life go by. That will require you to practice self-discipline. You do not have a schedule for your day when you are undisciplined or have plans for your life. This is why self-discipline is critical. You can start small until discipline becomes a habit. Some small ways to practice self-discipline include: writing down three to ten tasks you want to get down each day, going to bed and waking up at consistent times, writing down goals you want to achieve, and coming up with a plan to realize your goals.

There is an overlap between self-discipline and time management. The first example will be explained further below.

Self-Responsibility

You can then start to take self-responsibility for your life. Society wants to make people dependent upon “authorities,” “leaders,” and “experts.” They do what other people tell them to do. This makes people think that they do not need to accept responsibility. They can go through life without any consequences.

You can start to take responsibility for your life. When you start to take accountability, you will start to surprise yourself with what you can do. You will begin reaching the goals you wrote down but forgot about. You will eventually start to be able to do the things you want to do. You will begin to become creative rather than doing what you are told. Some things which can come from starting to trust in yourself are:

  • Find ways to create passive income.
  • Lose weight and reach your gym goals.
  • Decide to eliminate toxic and negative people and surround yourself with people who share your interests and values.
  • Start to focus on internal validation.
  • Practice self-control to help you to reach your goals.

Time Management

Time management is also vital since we have the same twenty-four hours a day and three-hundred-and-sixty-five days a year. It is up to you to decide how to use your precious seconds of every day. You can use your time to improve yourself or remain stuck where you are.

An excellent strategy to better use your time is to list daily tasks. This will help you to follow a schedule. You can start small by aiming to achieve three goals during your day. You could begin by waking up earlier, working on something that will improve your life in some way (find ways to increase your income, regularly exercise, et cetera), and running any errands you may have to do. Waking up earlier and going to bed later will give you more hours in your day, allowing you to get more tasks done. You can make your schedule of things to do each day. You can then also break your time into seven categories:

  • Top three priorities for tomorrow (feel free to add more).
  • Tasks for me to do tomorrow.
  • Your to-do list with everything that you need to get done.
  • Tasks that I need to do soon.
  • It’s unimportant and can be done when I get to it.
  • Your shopping list.
  • You can write down any notes which will help you.

Memento Mori (Remember You Will Die)

It is also critical for you to remember that you are mortal. One of my favorite reflections is memento mori which translates to “Remember you will die.” You do not know when you will die. It could be today, tonight, tomorrow, or sometime in the future. You do not know.

Summary

It is natural to be single, and this is because everyone is, first and foremost, an individual. You do have relationships with people in your daily life, from acquaintances to family, but you are the one who is responsible for making decisions. Your choices will directly affect you.

That is why it is vital to begin to value your time, practice self-discipline, and self-responsibility to help you to achieve your goals.

Discover The Unexpected Reason Young Adults Stay Single

There are many things that people like to blame for why people stay single. Yet, society only looks at the convenient problems that fit a particular narrative. They rarely go deeper. In this article, you will discover the unexpected reason young adults stay single!

Discover The Unexpected Reason Young Adults Stay Single

Many people are wondering why people are remaining single. The usual problems are often blamed, such as pornography and social media for single men. In contrast, single women say that “suitors of the same age are becoming less desirable.” This is the usual way that the mainstream media presents the reasons why men and women are single:

  • Men are slobs and stay inside watching porn, scrolling through social media, and never going outside because they play video games all day.
  • Women are told they must have a high-value man because they are all princesses. Only a man who makes at least six figures yearly, with six-pack abs and a six-inch penis, will do. These high expectations are acceptable to society.
  • These are two very contrasting messages. Women can have a high-value man, but all the men seem to be addicted to porn and playing video games according to society’s narrative?

The Real Reason Why People Are Remaining Single Longer

[bctt tweet=”There is a cost of living crisis. Most young people cannot afford to buy a house. Many Millennials have a low net worth.” username=”@secure_single”]

The rising cost of everything is a key reason people stay single longer. On top of that, most young people are in debt. You can’t precisely start thinking about dating or starting a family if you are still living with your parents or living with roommates. You don’t have the privacy of your own house, and it’s awkward to even think about getting it on when friends or family always enter, giving you no privacy. Hence, the importance of homeownership which a majority of Millennials have been unable to attain.

There is a cost of living crisis in the United States. This crisis has many layers, but unaffordable real estate is a vital part of it. Homeownership is out of reach of many young people. Homeownership is a traditional way to build wealth.

Further, homeownership allows people to have privacy. It enables a person to have one’s space and a place free from friends, family, or acquaintances. You control who comes in and out of your own house. Currently, most Millennials still rely on their parents for financial support. By extension, many Millennials still live with their parents.

Generations Failed To Launch

Due to the rising cost of everything and student debt, many young people have failed to launch.

Statista writes about the chart below:

“Gen Z and Millennial men in the United States are more likely to live with their parents than women in the same age group. In 2021, approximately 13 percent of women aged 25 to 34 lived in their parents’ home, compared to almost 21 percent of men. When looking at the age group of 18 to 24, the difference was less drastic.”

Statista’s graph may be too optimistic since many Millennials still rely on their parents for financial support. They are likely still stuck living at home if they rely on them for financial aid.

This is a consequence of being sent to college for at least four years. Many young people went into debt for an overpriced piece of paper only to work an entry-level service job where they likely won’t be able to pay off their student loans. They also delayed making an income which could have helped them by beginning to save earlier rather than going into debt for college. Young people were not taught the basics of finance because many parents left it to the education system to teach their kids and young adults what they needed to learn about topics. That critical topic is not taught in schools; many parents do not teach it to their children. This is a vital reason why many Millennials have a low or negative net worth that The College Investor highlights below.

The College Investor writes:

“You’ve heard the stat – the average net worth of millennials is roughly $18,000. Older millennials are doing much better, but they’re also approaching 40. Younger millennials typically have a negative net worth, and may be struggling to launch with the pandemic.”

You cannot live in the United States on $18,000. You cannot afford to pay ever-rising rent, health and car insurance, medical, medications, and grocery bills. You cannot even think about being able to save for a down payment for a house when you are struggling to get by and may still live with or receive support from your parents. Young people, especially men, will have no interest in dating since that is a significant turn-off to still live with and rely on one’s parents financially in your late twenties to mid-thirties. Yet, that is the reality for 64% of Millennials who still receive financial support from their parents.

What does that say about the economy, workforce, and financial habits if many Millennials have a negative net worth to an average net worth of under $20,000? Not good.

Finances, Not Social Problems Are Why Many Remain Single

Generations lost. Generations failure to launch. The real reason why people remain single longer comes down to finances. Young people cannot afford to buy a house. Real estate is in a housing bubble. Many are still living with their parents. Some even have a negative net worth. Many could not afford a starter home despite a housing crash.

Since they don’t have enough net worth, they cannot afford to buy different types of assets that can help increase their net worth. Types of assets that typically help raise an individual’s net worth are owning stocks, renting, owning a house, and owning real assets such as a business.

Many young people never learned any practical skills due to being sent off to college. They have been left behind. As a result, the demographics have changed, and people now stay single longer. The cost of living crisis only adds to many young people’s already poor financial standing.

Summary

The favorite things that people often blame are superficial issues for why people are remaining single longer, such as pornography to social media for men. There may be “less desirable” men for women to date as a combined result of having too high of standards, men being unable to afford a house to have privacy when it comes to dating, and most Millennials have a net worth of around $20,000. Finances are a critical aspect of life that was inadequately taught to most young people. They were not taught how to make money, despite the Internet creating massive opportunities for many to make money online.

Lonely Single Men Versus Empowered Single Women

Does society have a double standard when it comes to single people? Today’s culture subjects people to an incompatible double standard with its portrayal of lonely single men versus empowered single women.

From criminal profilers in law enforcement to insurance companies setting your rate, being single is usually a liability.

Lonely Single Men Versus Empowered Single Women

Lonely Single Men

Society calls single men lonely. Our culture then equates single men with being involuntary celibates or incels. The public portrays single men in negative ways. They are unsuccessful because they don’t have a girlfriend or a wife. Men are creeps because they are single. People tend to think there is something wrong with single men.

Culture doesn’t think that men can enjoy being single. However, many men can enjoy being single. They may have no interest in dating or marriage. Overall, society sends a negative message about single men. In contrast, it sends a positive message about single women.

Empowered Single Women

While society presents single men as lonely, it calls single women empowered. Our culture gives a positive message about remaining single to women. People tend to say single women are powerful because they are bucking the system by not dating or settling down with a partner or spouse.

Women don’t need a man, thanks to feminism. They can be alpha females. Single women don’t need a man for anything. Women can do everything a man can do. They can do it better! That is the positive message that our culture sends to women. They can be empowered and independent women.

Society’s Double Standard

Society sends a clashing message about being single with its hypocritical statement about lonely men versus empowered single women. The public tends to think that men are lonely and that there is something wrong with them for not having a romantic relationship. While for single women, it sends the positive message that they are powerful and can live their best life single without a partner or spouse.

This is truly a conflicting message!

There Is Nothing Wrong With Being Single

No matter if you are a single man or a single woman. You can know that there is nothing wrong with being single. People may be single for many different reasons. You can learn to enjoy being single. The most important relationship that you can have is the one with yourself.

What Is An Intrapersonal Relationship?

What is the most crucial relationship that you can have? Is it with someone else? Is it a romantic relationship? No! The most important relationship that you can have is the one with yourself. This is called an intrapersonal relationship.

What Is An Intrapersonal Relationship?

[bctt tweet=”The most important relationship that you can have is the relationship with yourself.” via=”no”]

According to Dictionary, intrapersonal is “existing or occurring within the self or within one’s mind.” The Dictionary says, “People with high intrapersonal intelligence are aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Intrapersonal conflict can lead to emotional stress.”

An intrapersonal relationship is a relationship that you have with yourself. It can be within yourself. It can be within your mind. The most important relationship that you can have is the relationship with yourself. To have a relationship with yourself, you must first know yourself.

3 Ways How To Know Yourself

You can start to know yourself by learning about your likes and dislikes. You can learn about your strengths. You can learn about your weaknesses. You must take time take time to figure out what your skills are. You can also figure out what you are passionate about. The final way is to find a way to monetize your strengths, skills, and what you are passionate about.

Know Your Interests

You can spend time figuring out what your interests are. You may be interested in computers. You could be interested in the trades. You could be interested in business. You could be interested in many different things. If you always focus on multiple items, you will never become a subject matter expert or known in your niche. That is because you constantly distract yourself from learning the skills you must know. You will need to learn to focus on one thing. You can add to your primary skills once you have masted your critical skills.

Learn Your Strengths

You can also take time to learn your strengths. It will also help you to know your weaknesses. This will help you to understand what you could improve at.

You will want to spend the most time developing your strengths. This will help you to stand out among your peers. Rather than focusing on your weaknesses or getting distracted by bread and circuses, you chose to focus on your strengths. You can then figure out ways to monetize your strengths.

Monetize Your Skills

Life is expensive. You will need to find a way to pay the bills. Ideally, you would want to do it doing something that you enjoy rather than doing something that you hate. You can find ways to monetize your skills.

You can work a traditional in-person job, a remote position, or go into business for yourself. You want to make enough money to cover your monthly costs, then have enough left to save. If you can, you want to learn about investing. You can work to generate passive income streams. You want to find ways to make your money work for you.

4 Options To Monetize Your Skills

You can monetize your skills and knowledge in many ways today. You have four main options when it comes to making money, according to the ESBI Model.  You can always work for an employer, but you could also work for yourself. You could be self-employed. You could also start your business. You can also invest your money or reinvest the profits from your business into another venture or in real assets.

Employee Model

In the employee model, you trade your time for money. You can be fired or replaced at any time. You will not get paid if you do not work a shift or are laid off. You have no control over your income in this model.

Self-Employment Model

In the self-employment model, you work for yourself, but if you stop working at any time, your income may stop coming in. Your time is still tied to your money, but you own your own business.

Business Model

Today with the Internet, you can start an online business for much less than it costs to start a brick-and-mortar business. A business is the ultimate real financial asset. You own a system. You have people who work for you in the business model. It is up to you to maximize your business’s full potential. Once you have money coming into your business, you can start to invest it.

Investor Model

In the investor model, you make money work for you by investing money into income-producing assets. You trade your money for more money. Income-producing assets are often hard assets like businesses, real estate, and stock market investments. Once you have enough money from your investments, you can also speculate in the markets. Speculation is an art.

Know Your Values

You want to figure out your interests, values, and principles. These will be your guiding light. Your values will help you to make friends. It will help you to build a community around you. It is essential to surround yourself with like-minded people.

Society Does Not Want You To Succeed

The reality is that society does not want you to succeed. Society teaches you all the wrong things. It wants you to be weak, helpless, and dependent on others. Society does not want you to be able to provide for yourself. Here are three ways society works to prevent you from succeeding.

Financial System

The American financial system is debt-based. The system relies on people being in debt. The system requires various types of debt to maintain the system. The best thing you can do is not to be in debt.

Education System

The education system does not teach you hard skills that will benefit you. The education system instead focuses on soft skills and teaches skills that won’t help you get employed by learning things like gender studies. If you must go to college, study a STEM field. Otherwise, the last person you want to learn from is a professor. The best thing you can do is to learn to think for yourself, question authority and to self-educate yourself.

Mainstream Media

The mainstream media does not tell you the news. It only tells you what it wants you to be aware of.  The tole of the mainstream media, both on the left and the right, is to feed you a narrative to make you go along with the following current thing or agenda.

The mainstream media wants you to remain in a fearful state. The best thing you can do is turn off your television or news network on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Conclusion

Society does not want you to learn to have an intrapersonal relationship with yourself. It wants you to remain distracted, fearful, and in debt. You can learn to know yourself. You can begin to have an intrapersonal relationship with yourself. The most important relationship you can have is with yourself. You do not need a significant other to be happy.

  6. Roast until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the breast meat reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 1 hour. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your turkey breast.

Are you a dark-meat person? Here is a slightly modified version of a turkey leg recipe for one:

Ingredients

  • 1 celery stalk, cut into thirds
  • 1 turkey leg
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup of water, or as needed

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Rinse the turkey legs and pat dry.
  2. Stand the turkey legs upright (as if the turkey were standing). Press a knife down into the deep tissue, creating 2 or 3 long pockets. Press a piece of celery into each opening. Pull back the skin on the legs, rub it with butter, and season with a bit of salt. Put the skin back into place, rub with more butter, and season lightly with salt. Lay the turkey legs in a roasting pan.
  3. Roast uncovered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until the legs are golden brown and the internal temperature is 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) when taken with a meat thermometer. Add more water if needed while roasting, and occasionally baste with the juices or butter.
  4. Roast until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the leg meat reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 1 hour. Cooking time may vary depending on the size of your turkey leg.
