If you don’t like how someone treats you and they have continually treated you in a bad way, move on and find new friends who treat you like you want to be treated this New Year.

Say “yes” to People who help you grow

As you begin to say “no” to people who treat you badly begin to say “yes” to people who help you grow and who treat you with dignity. The people who you say “yes” and who treat you nicely will likely share your same values, goals, and aspirations when it comes to worldview or business.

You can become politically active by volunteering, donating, joining a party, or running for office on the different levels of government that are open during election season.

5 Easy Meal Prep Ideas For Singles In 2018

It’s a new year and a new you. Did you know that health improvement aspirations are one of the most common New Year’s resolutions? To help the process, knowing what to eat is just about half of the process when it comes to getting in shape. This is where meal prep comes into place. Some say that six-pack abs are made in the kitchen, so what you eat has a lot to do with your health goals for 2018. To start, meal prepping can be a lifesaver for many reasons. You can make healthy meals ahead of time and save yourself from those impulse candy bar purchases we all make when we are super hungry. In addition, meal prepping ensures that what is going into your body has been carefully prepared for you. You will also save a butt-load of money in the process. Not sure where to start? These five meal prep ideas are here to guide you, whether you are paleo, vegan, or vegetarian. These meals are guaranteed to be healthier for you than processed foods. Get ready for a healthier you in 3, 2…. 1, let’s go!

5 Easy Meal Prep Ideas For Singles

Banana Oatmeal With Blueberries And Turmeric Powder

When we think of meal prep, we hardly think of making ourselves one of the most important meals of the day, which is breakfast. Oats keep feeling full longer than processed grain cereal, and the blueberries and bananas have special properties that boost our immune system. Both fruits are good because blueberries have antioxidants, and bananas have multiple vitamins that are beneficial for you in many ways. Recipe here!

Paleo Chicken And Rice With Broccoli

This meal combo is perhaps one of the most common meals prep foods we can make. Muscle builders resort to the famous chicken and rice with broccoli combo because it has to stabilize grains, protein, and a superfood veggie. You can’t go wrong here if you are eating a Paleo diet. This meal has everything you need in a single batch! Recipe here!

Cauliflower Crust Vegan Pizza

This meal is 100% vegan. With a crust made from cauliflower, which you can buy from select grocery stores and toppings that are all vegetarian, you have had a pizza that you don’t feel guilty about eating. Top it with spinach, olive oil, broccoli, tomato, cilantro, and even green salsa. Mix and match as you see fit. One of the benefits of creating a pizza is that there are nearly an infinite amount of combinations you can try for your pizza. Now you can eat pizza without feeling guilty. Recipe here!

Paleo Tacos With Mozzarella Cheese

Who doesn’t like tacos? They are often prepared with so much effort that it will take an entire evening to have all the food assortments prepared. Tacos can be really healthy for you, and can incorporate your favorite veggies and meats. Take a Sunday afternoon and prepare a bulk amount of 2 weeks or more of your favorite types of tacos, and don’t worry about touching the stove until your next round of cooking. Grab some corn tortillas, shredded beef, chicken, or elk meat, place some mozzarella cheese on that, and add a lot of veggies. Poof! You’ve got yourself some tacos. Soon after, place into multiple ‘one-person’ meal-sized Tupperware meals in the freezer. Recipe here!

Smoothies

You can definitely create one-million different types of smoothies and store them in the freezer. When you buy fresh food, you can freeze it for later use, and grab as you go. Make sure that you have the opportunity to make something that suits your needs. I recommend researching what health benefits some fruits and veggies have, and then adding in what fruits and veggies best serve your needs. A banana, kale, ginger smoothie is one of my favorites, or even an apple, beats, and carrot juice smoothie. Add chia seeds for additional health benefits, they are really good for you! Make a bulk amount, and place in water bottles or mason jars. Store in the freezer accordingly, and pull out each smoothie a day before you use. Recipe here and more here!

Summary

We hope you found some inspirational meals to spin off of. For more ideas on meal prep recipes, check out Pinterest.  It’s time to get creative and have fun with meal prep. Your body will benefit, and so will your wallet. Keep up the good work with your goals for 2018, and make sure you eat healthily! You owe it to yourself to be the best version of yourself that you can. Eat right and feel good now. Make the change for a healthier you in 2018.

12 New Year Habits Singles Can Embody In 2018

The New Year is here, and it is officially 2018. Congrats to all those who make it another year! We know that the majority of people beginning their new year have set out with goals and resolutions to make 2018 an even better year. If we look back at 2017, we can see that some goals we may have set in January are goals we either came close to or did not reach. Many of us let go of our goals within the first month or so. However, you don’t have to be one that let’s go of the goals you set out to accomplish. There are twelve key habits you can begin to develop today to help you accomplish any goal you set out for yourself for the New Year. Ready to check them out? Here we go!

12 New Year Habits Singles Should Embody In 2018

Write Out Your Goals Every Day

By writing down your goals, you will keep them fresh in your mind. There are 2 ways to go about this, and you can do one, the other, or both! The first way is to write down your goals in the morning, that way you have them fresh in your mind. If daily is too much, you can start with writing your goals out weekly. I recommend that you carry your goals with you in your pocket, and refer to them often. You may also write on a sticky note what your goals are a post them in your bathroom mirror

Take Inventory Of Where You Spend Your Time

When you take inventory, you can assess where you need to allocate more time to, and what you need to allocate time away from. Too often, I find myself doing what is urgent and not important, over what is important and not quite as urgent. You want to get projects completed and off the table to have room to take on more projects. Taking inventory lets us ‘cut the fat’ out of where we spend our time.

 Accept ZERO Distractions

Many of us tend to be people pleasers, and want to make as many of our friend’s events as we can. This is the trait of good friends, but then you don’t have what you are doing written down, you are doomed to have distractions that will carry you away from your goals! Don’t worry because you can always get back on track. This is what happened to me last year until I realized that I have got to have stronger willpower. Take out all distractions that do not align with what your goals are for your health, your friendships, and your career.

 Wake Up Early

Waking up early will give you extra time in the morning to accomplish your goals. Spend an extra hour each morning working on a project and also taking time for yourself to actually work out. Your body is just as important as your mind, and if you are able to workout, you will achieve a better mind-body connection. In par with waking up early.

Go To Bed Early

The saying, ‘Early to bed, early to rise, makes a person healthy, wealthy, and wise’ is an old adage that is nearly true for all people. When we go to bed early, we allow ourselves to get the sleep we need to repair and reset our bodies for the next day. Just like a child who does not get his or her afternoon nap, an adult who misses out on sleep will be grumpy, and sacrifices being in a better mood throughout the day. Sleep more, and feel extremely well rested. Life will be easier for you. Go to bed earlier this New Year!

Read In Your Profession Every Day

We all know how important reading is, but don’t you think that reading about our professions will be of more benefit to improve our careers? When you read about your profession every day, you get the equivalent of a mini-college degree. Continual learning doesn’t stop as an adult. Studying aspects of your career through a careful selection of books that talk about how to become better in your profession will help you increase your income. You can read about how to improve your sales profession, how to have better customer service, and how to be a better creator if you are an artist.

 Work Out Every Day

So you don’t have to be Dwayne Johnson, but you do have a body that is important to keep up. Even for an hour a day, find something that you enjoy doing and do it every day. Just like dogs who get cooped up in the house all day need a run, or to play in the park, you need to have an outlet to work out. Working out increases your happy hormones, and also gets your body into good shape. We all want a nice body and need to be willing to work for it. You can do it one day at a time. Select a gym, join a running group, or pick up intramural sports teams. You do need to care for your body, and there are multiple outlets out there. Take it one day at a time.

  Plan Every Day

In tow with accomplishing your goals and getting into good habits, you need to plan out your day so you can run the day, and not have the day run you. Prioritise your most important tasks, and make sure you get what you need to get done accomplished every day. Put in the hours to make it work. By accomplishing what matters, you will more confident in what you are doing. It will build your self-esteem.

 Block Out Time

When you have goals you want to accomplish, you need to block out time where nothing else can be planned or done except your goals. For me, I have gotten better about blocking out time to work on my goals after work to improve my future. I want my goal to happen, and for that, I am very guarded with my time. I make sure that I do something every day that will move me forwards. Of course, balance is key, so you will need to block out time to be with your loved ones on the weekends and block out time on the weekdays for work. Different combinations work for different people. It is a balance. Look to see what works for you, give it a try this week.

Relax After Long Sprints of Work

When you are working to make your goals happen, make sure you take at least one night off during the week to relax. This can be painting, watching Netflix, doing an alternative sport, getting a nap in, or whatever you feel is best. We are like saws cutting down a tree, and every so often, we need to sharpen ourselves in order to be sharp enough to cut the tree down with effectiveness. Relaxation is key in part of attaining your goals.

  Reward Yourself

If you’ve just made a big sale, ran your fastest mile, or got into a group of friends or business associates you have wanted to join, reward yourself. Just like Pavlov’s dogs, when you reward yourself, you are more likely to repeat the behavior. This is called positive reinforcement. You can treat yourself well, and you can reward yourself for working hard to accomplish something. Earn your reward. Your victory will taste sweeter after you have worked towards it, and you will feel better about pampering yourself afterward. For example, I am going to get a pedicure after I complete all my projects this month, as it has been a bigger workload than normal. Reward yourself this New Year!

 Rinse And Repeat

Do these 12 habits over and over again, and you will be closer to achieving your goals than before. The first step is building the habit. You are worth it, and you can accomplish your goals. Believe in yourself, and develop the confidence to make it so. You can do it, and we are here to support you. Align your mind and body for success, and also block your time to accomplish your priority projects at hand.

Summary

Make 2018 a great New Year, and start off right by bonding these twelve habits that will carry you further. They say that bad habits are easy to form and hard to break, and good habits are hard to firm and easy to break. Form good habits and they will take care of you. Make sure to check in with yourself monthly to see how you are coming along. Be the captain of your life, and create it in your own image. You can do it!

5 New Year’s Resolutions Singles Can Make In 2018

This weekend is the time to write out our intentions for 2018. When the rush of the holiday season calms down, block out some space, 2 – 3 hours to make sure you have time to plan out your New Year. What will it look like, and how will you reach your goals? Make your New Year’s goals. To make sure you make the most of your time, you will want to start it outright with a plan. When you have a plan, things will run more smoothly and efficiently. Most people want to improve three areas of their life: their health, their relationships, and their wealth. Here are five New Year’s Resolutions you can make in your planning session to have an even better year in 2018!

5 New Year’s Resolutions Singles Can Make In 2018

Plan A No-Fail Healthy Food Routine

You can plan your New Years outright by heading over to Pinterest and selecting healthy food recipes that you can meal prep. I recommend going Paleo, a diet designed to eat healthier foods like fresh veggies and fruits with proteins.Go for organic foods as well. We can all agree that eating organic fruits, veggies, and proteins will be much better for your body than processed foods. To boot, you will feel better-eating cleaner. Buy all these foods in bulk, and get Tupperware that can fit a meal for one. Take a Sunday out of each week and block off 4 hours to meal prep. You won’t always need 4 hours, and you may use less time than 4 hours to make your meals, but it will allow you flexibility and time to create meals that are good for your body. Follow instructions on how to meal prep, and place all meals in the freezer, minus 2 days worth of food.Grab and go, and you will feel satisfied without the need to splurge on food that may be unhealthy when you are hungry.

Develop A Workout Routine With A Friend

Teams go further than individuals. It takes a community to build something, including a workout oriented lifestyle. This is why having friends that are fitness oriented is so important for you when you are working to build yourself a better body. Build it, and push past stupid excuses. Make it happen 100%. It’s your body, and of course, you should feel great about the skin you’re in. Make your body work for you, and take care of it. Get proper exercise and sleep. You owe it to yourself to become the best version of yourself that you can, this includes becoming the fittest version you can. Build up your group of fitness friends, and set goals together. Want to climb Pikes Peak? Go for it together. A half-marathon? Go for it! You can do anything you set your mind to, and you can go even further with your friends.Make it happen. Make it a New Year’s goal to start a workout routine.

Plan Time With Family And Friends More

Being with friends and family is important. You need an outlet to love and be loved. Allow yourself to spend time with loved ones. Just like blocking out time for meal prep, you need to block out specific time for your family and friends. When you want to love a fulfilling life, building empress with friends and family will definitely ensure your life is filled with love. People can actually die without love, look a babies or people with broken hearts that are cut off from love, they nearly die, and some actually do! You need love in order to be happy and have your best workouts and your best business development.

Invest In Reading

Your brain is a survival tool, and the best one you will ever have.  In order to do your best in 2018, start off your new year the right way by developing a reading list and a plan to read. Multiple studies show that reading improves your brain function, including memory and your EQ and IQ. Reading is extremely good for you and will keep you sharp even into old age. Lie exercise to the body, reading is the exercise to the mind. The mind and body both need to operate at the full potential in order to grow, learn, and prosper. Bring in the new year by developing a reading list (Start with 12 books, 1 book each month is pretty reasonable), and a plan to read. I recommend reading in the early morning and in the evening. Time yourself for 30 min, and if that is too much, read 1 page at a time. Just get yourself into the habit first, and the rest will take care of itself. You will want to read more and more, this is because your brain will crave additional knowledge. Treat your brain well, and read. You owe it to yourself to become the greatest version of yourself!

Make Solid Business Goals

You were made for more than to just take orders. Build something with your mind, your hands, and your body For business goals, develop a business with something you are good at. It may seem like small swipes at first, but the longer you persist, the more you will make an impact. Just like that story from, Bruce Lee who was told to practice a punch 10,000 to perfection, rather than 10,000 different types of fighting styles, he mastered one punch and was the expert!

Make 2018 an amazing year. Go for your goals, and make improvements in your health, wealth, and happiness. You deserve good things in your life, you deserve good relationships, you deserve good money in your life, and you deserve an amazing, healthy, sexy body!! Go make your goals happen. Stick with it. It will be hard, but it will be worth it. Go do it.

Happy New Year’s,
Danielle

How Singles Can Bring In The New Year Alone

New Year’s. The holiday made for couples where you must find someone to get a midnight kiss and then pop a bottle of champagne to bring in the New Year. There is no reason why singles should not participate in New Year’s because of their singlehood. In fact, this is a chance to turn the holiday upside down and to work to change what is believed about how to celebrate the holiday. Singles should celebrate the holiday with friends, find an event, or bring in the New Year alone.

How Singles Can Bring In The New Year Alone

The first way that singles can celebrate New Year’s is with friends. Celebrate it at a friend’s house or find a fun place to bring in New Year’s in your city. At a friend’s house you can interact with other friends, meet new people, and make new friends. The other option is to find a New Year’s party event where you live to bring in the New Year. These events will range in price, depending on where the event is located and what New Year’s package you opt for. In either option, you can celebrate it with friends.

However, since it is the holidays, your friends may be busy with family and travelling for the holidays. Don’t be afraid to celebrate New Year’s alone. Search online or on social media to find somewhere that appeals to you that is hosting a holiday party. It could be somewhere as simple as your favorite bar or restaurant to checking out the place in your city that annually throws the big New Year’s party bash. Some New Year’s events will include a free drink, or couple of drink, to a VIP bar depending on the event. Other places will stay open later and have a tamer New Year’s party compared to the major places in your city. Consider looking some places up and decide if you want to get tickets to a New Year’s party this year.

The final option is to be chill about the New Year and stay at home. This is a perfectly acceptable option too. There is no need to bring in the New Year with a big extravagant party or to get together with friends, if you’re not invited to a party. Solitude is healthy. It is good to spend time alone. Enjoy the day and don’t feel pressured to do anything that you don’t want to do on New Year’s. Relax. Read or watch a movie. Get some work done. It’s up to you because you have the freedom to decide how your day goes on New Year’s. Another year is gone. A new one has come. Life continues. The New Year is a reminder that life is temporary. Celebrate life. Contemplate the shortness of life.

Summary

While New Year’s is a couples’ holiday that does not mean that you are unable to celebrate it because you are single. On the contrary, make those couples envy your singlehood this New Year’s. You are not tied down to go to a New Year’s party that a significant other is forcing you to attend. Celebrate bringing in the New Year alone and happy!

Singles Do Not Need To Date During Cuffing Season

The fall and winter seasons are a time when singles are expected to find a significant other. This time is called cuffing season. It is called cuffing season because it is believed that singles desire to be cuffed or tied down to a serious relationship and to bring a significant other back home during the holidays. There is no reason why singles should be expected to become cuffed to someone during fall and winter to please their family or society during the holidays.

What Is Cuffing Season?

It is interesting that dating relationships equate to cuffs during this season. In contrast to the values of the single life, romantic relationships take away peoples’ freedom and flexibility to be with another person. By spending time with that person; they take time away from personal development, self-discovery, and improving their professional skills as an individual. The energy that would go into advancing yourself as a person are now spend wholly with someone else.

The hypothesis behind why cuffing season exists is because as the weather gets colder during the fall and winter months and people stay indoors more, they want to date someone to cuddle and spend time with instead of being alone. This is a fascinating theory for cuffing season because the number of social events increase during the fall and winter holiday season. Singles can find events to attend in there city and that does not require having a plus one. By spending time with others, the desire to get cuffed this holiday season may decline because it is healthy to be around people. There is also nothing wrong with watching Netflix and drinking hot cocoa on your couch in your house or apartment. It is actually healthy to spend time alone. Singles should not feel shame or pressure to get cuffed into a relationship.

Be Free During Cuffing Season

There is pressure to get cuffed and to have a date for New Year’s and Valentine’s Day. These are unhealthy expectations for singles. In fact, the pressure for singles to get cuffed for the holiday season is just wrong. Singles are now the majority of the American population and are a rising demographic in industrialized countries. Society’s assumption that people are best coupled stigmatizes singles and is singlism. The holiday season should be a time where people spend time with family and friends. There should not be pressure for singles to get date during cuffing season.

Singles should be happy and uncuffed during cuffing season because there is nothing fun about being tied down to a bad relationship. Singles should spend time exploring their city or going home to their families during the holidays instead of seeking out a romantic relationship. Remain free and uncuffed!

5 Ways Being Single During The Holidays Saves You Money

The holiday season is the time of year where you may travel to see family or visit a significant other’s family. The bottom line is that the holidays bring on additional expenses when you are in a relationship. Here are five ways being single during the holiday season saves you money.

Money

It is no surprise that the holidays push for people to buy their friends, family, and significant others gifts. Seasonal holiday jobs appear during this season so that people can make an additional income to spend on gifts during the holidays. This holiday season save money instead of spending it on a significant other.

Travel

Travel is another major expense during the holiday seasons. Depending on your work schedule and your relationship with your family, you may not be able to or want to go back home for the holidays. While your family may be understanding, a significant other would put more pressure on you to visit their family during the holidays so that you can meet their family. The cost of going home during the holidays or visiting a significant other’s family include transportation to and from airports food and drink at the airport terminal, and flight tickets. There should be no pressure to travel during the hectic holiday season and being single gives you the opportunity to make your own decisions about where you want to spend your holidays.

Dining Out

Relationships are expensive, especially dating relationships, because you have to pay for another person when you dine out. It is no longer a meal and a drink. It is now two meals and two drinks. Food and drink quickly add up when going out. But if you went home with your significant other for the holidays, they want to take you to their favorite places in their city. This means that you will need to include additional money in your holiday budget to dine out with your significant other. However, by being single during the holidays, you only have to pay for yourself when you go out. If you want to save money, you can cut back on going out and put it towards gifts or put the money that would originally go towards dining out into your savings account.

Gifts

Gifts can be expensive depending on what type of gifts you like to give people. If you have a significant other who you want to impress at Christmas, you may buy them some nice jewelry or bottle of their favorite spirit. While some families want to cut back costs of gifts by doing a white elephant gift exchange, you may not be so lucky with your significant other’s family. Being single means that you can save money again by having to get gifts for your one family instead of for a significant other and their family too.

Holiday Parties

Holiday parties start around Halloween and peak during New Year’s, but won’t end until after Valentine’s Day. That means you may be go to parties with friends or a significant other at least once for each holiday. Depending on the type of party and where it is located, parties may require purchasing tickets in advance and events for holiday parties can get expensive. Instead of being pressured to go to holiday parties and spend money that you really don’t want to because of a significant other, embrace being single this holiday season and go to holiday parties that you want to or save money by not going to any parties.

These are the five most common ways that you will spend money during the holidays. If you are single and are not obligated to visit a significant other’s family this holiday season, be thankful because not being in a relationship is saving you money. Is being single during the holidays starting to look better now? Happy holidays and enjoy being single this holiday season!

7 New Year’s Resolutions To Make If You Are Single

New Year’s Resolutions. We all make them, But how do you tailor them to be securely single? Here are the top 7 New Year’s resolutions to make if you are single, and want to make 2017 one of the best years of your life.

1. Read The 7 Healthy Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey
For the mind. This book will literally outline a great plan for your new year, and give you the stepping stones to developing good habits that will serve you in 2017 and beyond. All goals are met by developing habits to achieve them. Why not give it a shot?It will help improve your life.

2. Get a Gym Membership and develop a workout routine you can stick to
For the body. Join a gym, and actually go. Improving your body through working out, whether lifting or cardio — or both, will greatly improve your mood, make you look sexier (yes, I said it), and improve your health. Look online for routines that will help you build up from a 20 minute run up to 1 hour weight lifting. Working out will help relieve stress, and improve your cognitive skills through developing the habit of discipline, and improving your dopamine levels (natural happy hormones released after working out. You will also sleep better.

3. Know thyself.
Whether you are spiritual or not, you should definitely invest in studying the beautiful and unique person you are. Whether that means studying eastern and western philosophy, or simply attending group spiritual settings where you can let loose and be appreciated by other people in the same boat. Study yourself, and get to know yourself on a deeper level. Your clarity will greatly improve, and you will achieve another understanding of yourself, others, and the world around you.

4. Plan it out.
Your life’s purpose. Yes we hear this a lot, but it is actually true. When you plan your life out, and work your plan, your plan happens. Though, don’t write it out on your computer or phone, rather, take a big piece piece of paper and a sharpie marker and write down exactly what you want. If you need time to think, take your time. Take all the time you need. This is, after all, you’re life. Taking the time to sit with yourself and write down your purpose in life is very important, and when you know your life’s purpose, you wont was a single sec-on doing things that don’t align with your goals.

5. Make and Keep Good Company
Take time to make friends and keep friends that love and appreciate you. Too often, we seek the approval from people who do refuse to give us the love at attention we deserve, or we seek to be fiers with people who don’t appreciate us. THis can stem from, (going to go a bit deep here), childhood issues and self esteem. Now that you are a fully functional adult, take time to make the decision to surround yourself with people who ONLY bring out the best in you. Why? Because you deserve good people in your life, because deep down, YOU know you are a good person.

6. Love yourself.
Whether you are newly single, chronically single by choice, or securely single, take this moment in time to truly appreciate yourself for the wonderful human being you are. Simply because you exist, you are 100% eligible to love yourself. Take time to work on improving your confidence within yourself, and take time to truly get to know yourself and love yourself.

7. Stick to your goals.
Find a friend who helps you work towards all your goals, and keeps you accountable. In return, help your friends keep herself/himself accountable. With all of your life goals planned out, work together as a team.
All New Year’s resolutions are directed at making you, a better you! Improve your self, inside and out, and your entire life will begin to improve. Stay secure my single friends, and remember, the world needs more secure single people.
